My Little Helmet Head!

My sweet, ever-happy, little Audrey got fitted with her helmet (PAP Orthosis) yesterday!  Her head is a little lopsided in the back and a few months with the helmet should straighten it out!  It will also help with her little crooked ears too!  Believe me I love her just the way she is, but I also want to give her every opportunity in life not to stick out in a negative way.  It is for her emotional well being which I believe is just as important as your physical well being!
She hated hated hated having it put on!  Kevin, the worker guy, had to put it on and take it off like ten times in about an hour to get the right fit.  It kept spinning, so after quite a few adjustments, we were on our way!  We came home and Jack kept pointing at her and saying "Augee's hat!"  He tried to take it off a couple times but once he realized it was stuck on, he left it alone.  Then it started to rotate and squish her ears. I went back in this morning for another half an hour of adjustments and this time I think we got it right!  I don't blame Kevin at all for it being a little tweeked!  Audrey apparently has a difficult head!  I took before shot and will put it with the final shot in about 4 months.  Hopefully she will get it off as a birthday present!  I am going to figure out how to attach a loop so I can clip her bows and flowers to the helmet to dress it up a little bit!
I love my little sweetie no matter what her head shape!

Now if her head was turned, the shape would be fine, but because she is looking forward, you can see it's just a little off!  But I love it just the same!

Hey, I found your blog. The helmet is actually pretty cute! I was inspired by you and am taking my baby in this week to have a specialist look at her. I think she might end up wiht a helmet as well. we'll see.
