Wahoo! Johnny was just offered his dream job today! As of December 29, 2008, Johnny will be a Murray City Firefighter/Paramedic! He went and met with the chief today and was offered the job after a few questions. They interviewed 50 people and hired 9! We are so excited! This is soooooo much closer than Eagle Mountain. He has been driving there three times a week and the poor car has really racked up the miles! The gas money was a pain too. He might be working at the station that is 2 blocks east of our house! He could walk to work!!! So if you see him, tell him congratulations! If you don't see him, thank our Heavenly Father for this wonderful amazing blessing, because we owe it to him (and Johnny's hard work, but mostly to Heavenly Father)!

Help!! He Won't Sleep!
Okay, here is the deal: I am a special ed teacher, I even have an emphasis in early childhood. I have taken many classes on behavior modification and thought I was getting pretty good at it, until my cute little son arrived. He is only eight months old and his manipulation skills are some of the best! He goes to bed consistently around 10:30-11:00 at night. He wakes up two to three times during the night to eat and will go right back to sleep after nursing. He then wakes up for the morning about 8:30-9:00. This schedule does not work for me! I am tired and as Johnny will attest to, quite cranky at times! Soooo, I have tried following experienced mothers advice. I have a bedtime routine and it helps but it is not getting him to bed earlier. We feed him solid food before bed and he still stays up late and wakes up multiple times. The next thing was to just put him in his bed and let him cry it out. Well that is all well and good. I could withstand the screaming bloody murder okay but a month ago or so, Johnny went in and got him and on his way out, he threw up all over Johnny and the floor. Then last night it was 10:45 and he had only been screaming for seven minutes. I went into the hall to make sure he was still breathing and I hear him throwing up all over himself and the bed. He then started to gag because he was on his back when he threw up. I couldn't leave him in his crib in throw up for multiple reasons. When I got him out, he was shaking so much I almost dropped him. He wouldn't stop shaking like he was terrified. We have put night lights in his room and I promise I have never beaten him. He is asleep now, miracle of miracles and it is only 9:46! I worked really hard at getting him to not take an evening nap! What do I do? I don't want him to aspirate vomit, but at the same time, sleep is so precious to me! HELP ME!!!

What a Long Time!
I didn't realize until I got on here that I haven't posted for a month now! I got sick in between times and life seems to keep us very busy! I don't think we did anything great in particular, just stuff. Jack has been soooooooo cranky! He has had so many teeth come in lately! He is up to eight and one of his eye teeth is trying to come through. Luckily he doesn't bite while he is nursing! Johnny is being such a good daddy having him all the time! Jack is inch worming across the floor, but his head weighs so mch, he can't get it up high enough to start crawling on his own. But it is a positive because as soon as he starts we can never go back!
Johnny has applied with Murray Fire Department! He took the physical and then was scheduled for an oral board interview! We are so excited! We now just have to wait to hear if he gets the job or not.
Thanksgiving was so fun! Johnny was able to get it off of work and so we went to Jim and Vicki's first at 1:00 and had fun with everyone there. Jill announced that she is having a girl! Yeah! Two new little girls! After that, we went to Johnny's parents and had Thanksgiving there with everyone!
We went and got Jack's pictures taken with his cousins! They were all so cute!

Isabelle was so cute! She would just sit and smile while we waited for the babies to get a cute picture!
We all went and got an ice cream cone afterwards and some crazy lady came up to us and told us how cute they all were! Valley Fair Mall is a scary crazy place! Here are a couple picture updates from the last month:
He was so tired, but he didn't want to stop eating!
Posing for the camera
He loves his bouncer!

Halloween Party!
Jack and I went to a Halloween party tonight at our ward! It was also so much fun to have an extra excuse to put him in his costume! It was so fun and there were so many people there! Jack went as a horse, and I went as a fireman/woman. We all ate chili and talked and then had a parade and went trick-or-treating at the doors. It was fun to see Margaret, Celeste, and Isabelle!
He couldn't figure out why the baby in the mirror looked different! The baby in the mirror is one of his bestest friends!
Isabelle came as Snow White and Celeste came as Snow White's mommy!

This is Lydia, one of Jack's friends. She was the cutest little ladybug around!
"If only I could figure out how to get the paper off!" He was given a sucker during the trick-or-treat and loved sucking on it. He only ripped the paper as I was taking it away and he was quite upset I didn't let him continue.
Worn out by all the festivities! That is the cutest darn horse I have every seen!
Tagged again!
Jaime tagged me like two weeks ago and I am just now adding my picture! Jaime is in the hospital right now about to have her baby six weeks early!!! They are trying to keep her pregnant for as long as it is safe! Don't worry, mom and baby are okay and it looks like Wynter will be born about six pounds-ish.

My picture is the fourth picture from my fourth picture file. This is from my trip to Guatemala inn 2005. We climbed a live volcano. Now when I say live, I mean that I could throw a rock into the lava flowing freely from the cracks at the top. It melted the bottoms of my shoes. It was so hard climbing it but a very nice boy from Venezuela grabbed my hand and dragged me up the mountain. We couldn't understand each other at all! I kept saying No more and he would say Yes more! It was totally worth it though after we got to the top!

Every Part of Jack
I love how Jack is growing! He is talking so much and trying to move around! I didn't know I could love him so much! He is eating up a storm and tries to eat a lot of stuff he shouldn't! He is such a gentle soul and will cry if I even use a negative tone with him.
These are the things on Jack I love:

His Eyes! They are so big and blue!
His hands! They are always busy and starting to get rolls between each knuckle!
His mouth! Everything goes into it! As you can see from the picture, it's still dirty from dinner!
His feet! His toes are always curled when he is trying to learn something new!
I love his ears, arms, legs, tummy, but most of all I love his:

His tiny little bum! He has no hips and no bum and it is so fun to see him scooting and getting close to crawling!
